Venue: 40 table event held in the Music Room in the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh on 30th May 2013

Since the stunning refurbishment of the Assembly Rooms on George Street, we have been lucky enough to supply flowers and table centres for various events – always in The Ballroom. A first for us today was providing arrangements for an event in the fabulous Music Room, The Assembly Rooms largest room which boasts fantastic natural light by way of its floor to ceiling arched windows. The room is steeped in history and since its original opening in 1843 has hosted prestigious events and impresses visitors today with its chandeliers and gold embellishments in the ornate plasterwork. With all this in mind our client wanted to maintain the elegant settings so we decided to use just one type of flower – pure white hydrangea. A touch of softness was added with tealights in glass. Finally we added gold wire inside the vases to the gold from the plasterwork through the table centre designs.

We really enjoyed setting up this event and pass our thanks to the staff at both the Assembly Rooms and the caterers Prestige Scotland who as always, were amazing.

We were delighted to provide our services and table centres in support of the National Museums Scotland (NMS) showcase dinner held in the in the Grand Gallery at Chamber Street, Edinburgh on 10th April 2013.

Showcase at Inverleith House

February 19, 2013

Event: Showcase event at Inverleith House in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh – 31st January 2013

Sodexo Prestige Scotland has been granted permission to transform the building into an exclusive fine dining venue for just 30 days in December, when guests will be served locally sourced and sustainable produce, including plants from the Garden, prepared by their top chefs. Sodexo work at some of the most unusual and interesting venues in Scotland, including castles, museums, stately homes, and other amazing heritage buildings.  Inverleith House will go straight to the top of the list of must-try destinations.

The showcase event proved that Inverleith House works as a fine dining venue, every bit as special as they hoped it would be. The fact it will only be available for 30 days is guaranteed to increase its appeal. Coupled with the quality of fine-dining , expectations are high.

Sodexo Prestige Scotland also run RBGE’s Terrace Cafe, East Gate Lodge Coffee Bar and run events and conferences across the site, including at its Caledonian Hall, all of which has helped the Garden earn coveted five star status from VisitScotland.
