‘Sparkle for Alex’ Charity Dinner – 23rd March 2012

Sparkle for Alex is a charity black tie dinner, auction and dance held at The Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Friday 23rd of March 2012. This is Alex (see images below) and it is for him the Sparkle for Alex website was made to help raise vital funds.

Bride & Groom: Claire MacLachlan & Matt De Franck

Venue: Hopetoun House.

  • Ceremony – The Stables
  • Pre-Drinks – Tapestry Room
  • Dinner Reception – The Ballroom

Bride’s Flowers: Claire held a hand tie of all off white norma jean roses – no greenery. Claire’s bridesmaids held hand ties of double white ranunculus with stems bound in black ribbon.

Table Centres: Tall martini style vases with a compact sphere of white/ivory seasonal flowers (white hydrangea,  norma jean roses and eustoma) with white rose petals inside the vase. The  top table was decorated with baby martini vases with similar flowers.

Bride & Groom: Louise Hamilton & Andrew Inglis

Venue: Linlithgow Burgh Halls

Bride’s Flowers: Louise carried a compact hand tie of all sweet akito roses. Louise’s bridesmaid held a hand tie of all avalanche roses.

Table Centres: Tall glass candlestands with a sphere of sweet akito roses, lollypop pink hydrangea and soft pink spray roses. The top table was decorated with baby candlestands with similar flowers.

Bride & Groom: Sarah & Nick

Venue: The George Hotel

Bride’s Flowers: Sarah held a compact hand tie of pale pink ‘lollypop’ hydrangea with one single yellow rose. Sarah’s five bridesmaids held hand ties of all off white hydrangea.

Table Centre’s: Tall slender vases with crushed ice effect and orchid heads inside and topped with shades of hot pink dendrobium orchids with greenery and tall steel grass.

Bride & Groom: Lynsey McLeod and Scott McKenzie

Venue: Edinburgh Corn Exchange

Bride’s Flowers: Lynsey held a compact hand tie of all white tulips ranunculus with an added touch of sparkle on the binding. Lynsey’s bridesmaid held a similar but smaller version.

Table Centres: Tall silver candlestand with long white taper candles with a fine garland of ruscus and baby hand ties of white tulips and ranunculus and seasonal flowers. The top table was decorated with baby candlestands with similar garlanding.

Event – Signet Library

March 23, 2012

Event on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland held in the Signet Library

Tall silver candlestands with long taper candles and a semi loose sphere of seasonal flowers attached.

Event on behalf of Dunedin Capital Partners Ltd held in the Grand Gallery at the National Museum of Scotland.

I just wanted to send you a note to say thank you for the flowers.  They were beautiful and suited the event/venue perfectly.

Totally separate from our flowers – We recently released a new Smartphone App for android mobile devices based around a unique moodboard design.

Some facts about the App:

  • From 1st April 2012 – our stunning new TV advert will reach a monthly audience of around 800,000 per month through the Wedding TV Channel on Sky and Freeview.
  • The App is FREE for users to download
  • It will reach all parts of the UK
  • Users can add pictures, sounds and designs for their wedding and send to friends and suppliers via social networks and email.
  • Users can see which flowers are in season for their wedding day

Bride & Groom: Heather McKinna & Ross Neil

Venue: Caledonian Hall in the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. The wedding ceremony was held outside in the gardens at the John Muir Grove.

Bride’s Flowers: Heather chose a natural hand tie of soft blue hydrangea, off white sweet peas and double eustoma, soft pink hydrangea, white lilac and white heather tips.  Heather’s bridesmaids held hand ties of pink hydrangea & sweet peas, champagne eustoma and white heather tips.

Table Centres: Alternating table arrangements of tall candlestands with a garland of seasonal flowers in soft blue & pink (hydrangea & muscari) and white (freesia & veronica) – and – plain candlestands with pots of flowers (similar to above) surrounding the base.
