Event at the Signet Library

Event: We were delighted to be asked to provide flower arrangements for this event held in the Signet Library on behalf of Kames Capital Investment.

Table Centres: One long table for 64 seated guests. Tall silver candlestands with a garland down the stem placed at intervals along the length of the table. Low bowls of seasonal flowers were position in between the candlestands.

ROSEPARKS SPRING WORKSHOPS

This Spring we would like to welcome you to our Spring ‘How to Make’ Workshops. Inspiring classes in a fun, relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, will focus on making traditional Spring arrangements for your home, or to give as a gift. Enjoy a tasty Hot Cross Bun with Tea/Coffee. The workshops will comprise the following –

Workshop Content

  • Week 1:  Easter planted container/basket arrangement
  • Week 2: Easter decorations/table centre pots
  • Week 3: Conditioning of flowers/making vase arrangement*/making a hand-tie. (*If you wish to make an arrangement for your own vase please bring this with you or alternatively use one of our standard vases for preparation)
  • Week: 4 Indoor herb garden

Workshop Dates

  • Week 1 – Wednesday 20th March
  • Week 2 – Wednesday 27th March
  • Week 3 – Wednesday 3rd April
  • Week 4 – Wednesday 10th April

Venue: The Caledonian Hall, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Times 7pm to 9pm

Booking is required and places are strictly limited so please book early.

Cost: £42 per class, or book all four classes for £126 (1 class free). All materials & flowers, plants, bulbs provided. Refreshments included.

Fashion Show: A great way to see the ECE venue and experience the latest ideas and fashions from the industry’s best wedding suppliers.

Event & Venue: we were delighted to be asked to prepare arrangements for an event on behalf of the well known high street shoe retailers Schuh held at the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club. Schuh started in Edinburgh in 1981.

Table Centres:

Low, large goldfish bowls with silver wire and black calla lilies, with lights inside the heads, entwined around the wire. Satellite baby goldfish bowls with a similar smaller design and little tealights surrounded the large bowl.

It was great to see so many people at The George Hotel’s Wedding Showcase yesterday.

It’s always great to be working with the Museum’s team of suppliers to co-ordinate the setup of events this time in the Grand Gallery at the National Museums Scotland, Chambers Street, Edinburgh.

Table Displays:

The table displays for this 30 table event were arrangements of seasonal flowers in blue & white, with bear grasses and with a crushed ice effect and blue floral lights inside the vase . Two different style of vases were used, tall skinny flute and tall slender vase, which were alternated throughout the gallery.

Bride & Groom:

Claire East & Mike Thorogood

Venue: The Scotsman Hotel, Edinburgh.

The wedding ceremony was held in the Russell Suite and the dinner reception in The Club Room.

Bride’s Flowers:

Claire held a hand tie of hot pink ranunculus, red ranunculus, mango cala lilies and with orange and red tulips. Claire’s bridesmaid held a hand tie of all hot pink tulips.

Table Centres:

Low, loose arrangements with hot pink ranunculus, red ranunculus, mango cala lilies and orange & red tulips to match the bridal flowers. The top table arrangement was a long and low arrangement using the same flowers to match.

Claire & Mike’s other wedding suppliers included –

Small event held in the Queen Anne Building in Edinburgh Castle. Simple but effective use of cylinder vases with floating candles and lovely white phalanopsis orchid plants.
