Bride & Groom:

Wedding of Danielle Connolly & Andrew McCready on 8th June.

Venue:

The George Hotel

A lovely vintage wedding - Danielle knew exactly what she wanted and opted for a hand tie of sweet peas, lily of the valley, white muscari and white hydrangea with lovely lace binding.  Danielle was delighted when we delivered her own and her five bridesmaids hand ties which were a smaller version of Danielle’s.

The theme of vintage shades of white and cream was continued in the table centre’s of tall flute vases topped with a lush arrangement of flowers and greenery and a touch of lace around the base. These arrangements looked fabulous in the splendour of the Kings Hall.

We really enjoy working closely with brides to bring about their ideas into reality and produce beautiful arrangements for their special day.

Wedding of Julie Gibb & Brian Stark on 1st June 2013

Venue: Houstoun House Hotel

We were delighted to be asked to provide the flowers for Julie and Brian’s wedding at Houston House, the design, flower choice and colour theme were perfect for their ‘country garden summer wedding’. Julie wanted to keep away from the glass vase look and bring in a silver feel within the design of her table centres, so we had the perfect solution with the heavy, silver columns with a full, lush arrangement, which we think look fantastic. With the bridesmaids wearing soft pink we wanted to help Julie bring this shade through in the designs without it looking too ‘sweetie’ pink but keep it fresh. The soft pink hydrangea in the bridal flowers complimented the final look.

We had a great time working alongside Julie & Brian, and Julie’s mum. It was such a pleasure and right from the first consultation we were off with loads of ideas bouncing around. We love it when brides get excited about their wedding flowers and we can see it in their faces at their sample meeting. Makes all the effort worthwhile – brilliant!

Venue: 40 table event held in the Music Room in the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh on 30th May 2013

Since the stunning refurbishment of the Assembly Rooms on George Street, we have been lucky enough to supply flowers and table centres for various events – always in The Ballroom. A first for us today was providing arrangements for an event in the fabulous Music Room, The Assembly Rooms largest room which boasts fantastic natural light by way of its floor to ceiling arched windows. The room is steeped in history and since its original opening in 1843 has hosted prestigious events and impresses visitors today with its chandeliers and gold embellishments in the ornate plasterwork. With all this in mind our client wanted to maintain the elegant settings so we decided to use just one type of flower – pure white hydrangea. A touch of softness was added with tealights in glass. Finally we added gold wire inside the vases to the gold from the plasterwork through the table centre designs.

We really enjoyed setting up this event and pass our thanks to the staff at both the Assembly Rooms and the caterers Prestige Scotland who as always, were amazing.
